Storage Cleaner frees up space on your iPhone or Android phone. It scans your photo library for near-duplicate shots, leftover screenshots and large videos, then lets you clear them in bulk instead of one by one. All photo and video scanning happens on the device itself, so your media never leaves your phone.
Storage Cleaner also tidies up the clutter that is not on your camera roll. It groups duplicate contacts so you can merge them, flags entries missing a name or a number, and keeps a backup of anything it changes. Deleted items stay in an in-app Trash for 30 days, so nothing is lost by accident.
How Storage Cleaner uses your Google account. Connecting Gmail is optional and only needed for the Email Cleaner feature. When you sign in with Google, Storage Cleaner uses the Gmail API to read message headers such as sender, subject, date and size. It uses them to group your mail into buckets like promotions, social, large attachments and mail older than a year, and to show how much space each bucket takes. When you choose to clean a bucket, the app moves those messages to your Gmail Trash. Storage Cleaner never sends your mail off your device, never stores message content on a server, and never shares or sells your data. You can disconnect the account at any time from inside the app, or revoke access from your Google Account settings.
If you connect Google Photos, Storage Cleaner requests read-only access purely to look for duplicates. It cannot modify or delete anything in your Google Photos library.
